History

 Significant Milestones:

1979 - USF-HICOM (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was formed (formally known as United Fuso Sdn Bhd) - Authorised importer, assembler and distributor of the Mitsubishi range of 4x4 SUVs, multi-purpose vehicle (MPVs), commercial vehicles, double-cab pick-ups and buses.  Usf1

May 2005 - USF-HICOM inked a Distributorship Agreement with the largest manufacturer of tractors and SUVs known as Mahindra & Mahindra LTD in Mumbai, India and subsequently launched the Mahindra Scorpio SUV Petrol 4 x 2 (manual) in the same year.

June 2005 - USF-HICOM has been appointed as an Exclusive Distributors for Wald and Ssangyong vehicles.  Wald1

Early 2006 - The Scorpio SUV Diesel version 4 x 4 (manual) was launched and up to date more than 850 units has been registered in Malaysia.  Scorpio1
October 2007 - USF-HICOM has taken one step ahead by distributing brand new Honda vehicles to Malaysian market. In the initial stage, two models namely Elysion and Stepwgn has been introduced to the market. Elysion1

July 2010 – M & M introduced the Scorpio SUV Diesel (4 x 4) 6 speed automatic transmission was launched in Malaysia. The Scorpio SUV comes with the Mhawk CRDe Common-rail 2179cc diesel engine, multi-link coil spring rear suspension and competent 7-seater workhorse.

November 2010 - A joint venture agreement was signed between BRP AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (BRP) and USF-HICOM Sdn Bhd. USF-HICOM Sdn Bhd is the exclusive distributor of CAN-AM SPYDER Roadster.

February 2012 - The Minister of Defence, Y.B Dato; Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi,  launched the much awaited BRP CAN-AM SPYDER Roadsters, world’s first three-wheeled roadster, locally assembled and distributed exclusively by USF-HICOM (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. The BRP CAN-AM SPYDER Roadsters are assembled in our manufacturing and assembly facility, according to industry standards and our corporate consciousness for quality. A convoy of more than 300 multi-brand superbikes led by the Minister of Defence himself went riding around Klang Valley before ending the journey at Glenmarie Golf & Country Club for the official launching ceremony. The launch was supported by Superbikes Association Malaysia (S.A.M).
